Education and healthcare in the slums of Beirut with Tahaddi

Project

In one of the poorest neighborhoods in the southern suburbs of Beirut, an association created an educational center and a health center, an oasis in a desert of poverty. These marginalized children have little to no access to an education. This center provides them a place where they can learn and grow. Almost free medical care is offered to marginalized and extremely poor families, as well as to Syrian refugees.

Needs

  • Enlarge the school and open new classes for more children.
  • Increase the dispensary carrying capacity and provide more medical services.
  • Develop social activities for vulnerable groups of children and women.
